For nearly a decade, we have proudly produced our very own olive oil from the orchard here on Soul Food Farm. Every season, friends, family, and volunteers take part in the tradition of hand picking our olives that will be locally pressed and bottled here in the valley. Infused with the nutrients of our chemical free soil and nurtured by the sun and rain throughout the year, Soul Food Farm Olive Oil is a cornerstone of our humble family farm. The traditions and connection we have with our land is as rich as the relationships we cultivate with our friends, family, and community. Cocuzzolo means “crown of the mountain,” and our olive orchard sits 2,000 feet above sea level like a verdant crown of trees soaking up the California sun. Sky Ranch grows 40 acres of Frantoio olives for our Cocuzzolo Extra Virgin Olive Oil, then produces small batches so we can ensure maximum quality and taste. Frantoio are a prized variety of Italian olive most associated with Tuscany, and renown for their fruitiness and creating a smooth, peppery olive oil, silky and flavorful on the palate. Cocuzzolo EVOO is beautiful tossed lightly with greens, and always elegant for a finishing or dipping oil.
