An art project inspiring hope & raising money for properties in Pleasants Valley (Vacaville) who were affected by the LNU Fire. Artists are invited to participate in “From Ashes to Springtime” - an inspiring outdoor art event that is happening in December, March & April in Pleasants Valley (Vacaville).
From your hosts -
Thank you for your support of independent, local eateries who source deliciously from our small, local farmers. All these COVID-compliant Take-Out eateries are within 10 minutes’ drive from Ground Zero at Morningsun Herb Farm, 6137 Pleasants Valley Rd, Vacaville, CA 95688. (20 minutes round trip leaving you about 20 minutes to eat - I am guessing you will not have extra time to pick up food from one, then a drink elsewhere.)
We are working on current COVID compliant private places for you to eat lunch in Pleasants Valley. We’ll provide that with a map of art locations when we meet at 12/19 9:00 AM to 9:20 AM. Porta-potty and hand wash all day available at the second driveway/parking lot of Morningsun Herb Farm. Nursery grounds do not open until 10 am. We meet, then ALL will disperse to our locations, likely out of cell phone range.
Bon Appetit! Dress in layers! :) KL

“From Ashes to Springtime” artist participants will be grated access to six private properties in Pleasants Valley. All properties were affected by the LNU Lightening Complex Fire in August, 2020. These are also properties that participated in the Sow Beautiful native wildflower seeding project from October to December, 2020 (after the fire).
Our artistic/inspirational goal is to capture what Pleasants Valley looks like now and then capture it again in March when the wildflower and wild grass seeds have sprouted. Our supportive goal is to raise money for the landowners affected by the fire.

Sow Beautiful - Sowing native wildflower seeds at La Borgata after the fire
From your hosts -
For the first time ever, locals have volunteered time and resources in the Sow Beautiful Our Pleasants Valley wildflower reseeding project to restore hope and health after the LNU Lightening Fire - the second largest fire in California history. A fire so hot that nature does not restore the way it once did on its own. Now we invite you to produce in person, by hand – your impressions of how heart and nature recover.
Sound bites can't tell a story impossible to put into words. We invite you to express and contrast the 2020 Winter scorched devastation to the glorious 2021 Springtime recovery as thousands of wildflowers emerge over rolling Oak chaparral in this small wildlands and agricultural community - Pleasants Valley laced with the first year volunteer efforts of our Sow Beautiful Our Pleasants Valley native wildflower seeding project.
We’ve reserved spots and will provide ridge top access and transportation for you to work
Plein Air on private lands both Winter 2020, and back again Spring 2021 - from panoramic vistas to intimate pastoral settings. We'd like to introduce you to Pleasants Valley and Vacaville hospitality, we'd like to inspire your natural appreciation for beauty, and we'd like to meet you.
